Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque seeks a Distinguished Electromechanical Technologist to join the Equipment Lifecycle Management team. On any given day, you may be called to support complex PIE-related projects and oversee equipment moves, installations, upgrades and replacements.

You will lead technical teams, mentor staff, and collaborate with department and center staff to design innovative solutions and ensure safety and reliability of critical infrastructure equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of duties in support of Equipment Lifecycle Management projects and PIE.
• Work closely with department and center staff to support equipment projects and advise on equipment choices.
• Lead projects requiring deep knowledge of equipment mechanics to achieve success.
• Research, analyze data, and develop solutions for equipment and infrastructure challenges, including safety-critical systems.
• Support instrumentation, process mechanics, and high-precision measurement in automated and manual systems.
