Qualifications

• Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain SCI with polygraph.
• 20+ years of hands-on electronics technician experience; at least 3 years in military weapon disassembly, integration, repair and assembly
• Proficiency in electronic assembly, soldering, crimping, splicing, cable fabrication, PCB population, PCB rework and control panel building
• Ability to use hand and power tools, lift heavy objects and work with solvents/adhesives
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods and operate manual mill and lathe
• Ability to adapt to dynamic customer requirements and work independently to meet deadlines
• Ability to lift 35 pounds and maintain safety practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and test mechanical and electrical system components per drawings and procedures.
• Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot electrical modules and wire harnesses.
• Operate shop machinery and standard hand tools; measure with calipers and micrometers.
• Use oscilloscopes, waveform generators, power supplies, and multimeters for testing.
• Follow ESD practices and inspect finished products for conformance.
• Work from written and verbal instructions and document procedures.
• Support multiple projects concurrently and collaborate with engineers and other technicians.

Job description

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Senior Electromechanical Technician to support the Scientific and Technical Intelligence Group. Successful candidates will be quality-focused with experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing various mechanical and electronic systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and DoD regulations. Candidate must be a team player with the ability to multitask across several projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and test mechanical and electrical system components per engineering drawings and procedures.
• Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot electrical modules, components, and wire harnesses
• Operate shop related machinery to include common hand tools, scales, calipers, and micrometers
• Operate electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, waveform generators, power supplies, and multimeters.
• Follow Electronic Static Discharge prevention (ESD) practices
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications
• Work from written and verbal instructions
• Provide support across multiple projects simultaneously
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to achieve project objectives
• Maintain detailed records of all troubleshooting, assembly, disassembly, and repair procedures
• Generate delivery-quality documentation to document best practices and procedures
• Execute responsibilities in both laboratory and field environments

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship with an active Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI with polygraph
• 20+ years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician. At least 3 years of this experience must include military weapon disassembly, integration, repair, and assembly
• Proficiency in electronic assembly, soldering, crimping, splicing, cable fabrication, PCB population, PCB rework, and control panel building
• Ability to perform and/or assist in all activities, including the use of hand and power tools, lifting heavy objects, and working with industrial chemicals and adhesives such as epoxy, glues, paints, and cleaners
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and working from elevated surface on a regular basis
• Ability to operate manual mill and lathe
• Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
• Ability to work independently to achieve project objectives by deadline
• Ability to lift 35 pounds
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ammunition and explosive handling certification
• Experience welding to fabricate custom mechanical solutions
• Formal Cable assembly training with certification
• Forklift operation certification
