Job summary

Radiance Technologies seeks a Senior Electromechanical Specialist to support the Scientific and Technical Intelligence Group. The candidate will design, install, test, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical and electronic systems in line with DoD regulations and engineering instructions.

The role requires citizenship with an active Top-Secret clearance, 20+ years in electronics, and experience with military weapon disassembly, integration, and repair.

Qualifications

• Requires US citizenship with an active Top-Secret clearance.
• 20+ years hands-on electronics technician experience; minimum 3 years in military weapon disassembly, integration, repair, and assembly.
• Experience operating electro-optical and RF test equipment in lab and field environments.
• Ability to design and analyze analog circuits to support test data collection.
• Ability to interpret test data to assess accuracy of results.

• Provide guidance on test article disassembly and reassembly procedures based on experience with similar test articles.

• Follow ESD practices and inspect finished products for conformance to specifications.

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Senior Electromechanical Specialist to support the Scientific and Technical Intelligence Group. Successful candidates will be quality-focused with experience designing, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing various mechanical and electronic systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and DoD regulations. Candidate must be a team player with the ability to multitask across several projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, integrate, and test non-inert mechanical and electrical system components per engineering drawings and procedures
• Provide guidance on test article disassembly and reassembly procedures based upon experience with similar test articles
• Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot electrical modules, components, and wire harnesses
• Operate specialized test equipment and machinery to characterize test articles
• Follow Electronic Static Discharge prevention (ESD) practices
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications
• Work from written and verbal instructions
• Provide support across multiple projects simultaneously
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to achieve project objectives
• Maintain detailed records of all troubleshooting, assembly, disassembly, and repair procedures
• Generate delivery-quality documentation to document best practices and procedures
• Execute responsibilities in both laboratory and field environments

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizenship with an active Top-Secret clearance
• 20+ years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician. At least 3 years of this experience must include military weapon disassembly, integration, repair, and assembly
• Experience operating electro-optical and radio frequency test equipment in laboratory and field testing environments
• Ability to design and analyze analog circuits to support test data collection
• Ability to interpret test data to assess accuracy of results
• Experience handling and transporting hazardous test articles
• Proficiency in electronic assembly, soldering, crimping, splicing, cable fabrication, PCB population, PCB rework, and control panel building
• Ability to support test setup and execution in conditioned and non-conditioned environments
• Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
• Ability to work independently to achieve project objectives by deadline
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Ammunition and explosive handling certification
• Commercial Driver's License
• Experience welding to fabricate custom mechanical solutions
• Formal Cable assembly training with certification
• Forklift operation certification
