Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Sustaining Engineer - Electromechanical Systems in Exeter, NH for maintaining and improving existing products.

You will lead root-cause analysis, implement design enhancements, and coordinate changes with QA, Operations, and R&D teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery. You will mentor junior engineers, manage engineering changes in CAD/PLM, and support manufacturing process optimization using GD&T, 5S, and value engineering techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Expertise in GD&T ASME Y14.5M-2009.
• Certification for Shainin Red X and/or Six Sigma desired.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and project management tools.
• Expert in SOLIDWORKS and PLM data analysis and tolerance stack analysis.
• Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and identify root causes for complex production issues.
• Test and implement product improvements using SOLIDWORKS and PLM changes.
• Lead transition of new products to production with DFM focus.
• Coordinate with R&D, QA, and Operations to implement changes.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices.
• Lead Product and Process Improvement (PPI) efforts.
• Support 5S and sustainment activities across the workspace.
