Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Sustaining Engineer, Electromechanical Systems in Exeter, NH to maintain and improve existing electromechanical products. You will troubleshoot production issues, implement design enhancements, and coordinate changes with QA, Operations, and R&D teams.

The role requires mentoring junior engineers, leading PPI efforts, and driving reliability improvements across complete systems while supporting suppliers and contract manufacturers. Open to relocation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering; 7–10 years in sustaining or production engineering.
Strong electromechanical systems experience (mechanical assemblies, PCBAs, wiring, embedded hardware).
Expert in SOLIDWORKS; working knowledge of Altium Designer for PCBA support and review.
Experience with suppliers and contract manufacturers to resolve issues and improve yield and reliability.
Knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFT, ESD control, and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in existing electromechanical systems in production and field environments.
Implement engineering changes to mechanical and electrical designs (CAD models, drawings, PCBAs).
Perform root cause analysis on failures and drive corrective actions across mechanical and electrical domains.
Manage engineering changes through PLM systems with revision control and traceability.
Develop and execute validation testing to confirm effectiveness of design changes.
