Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient Currency Technology America, Inc. is seeking a Level III Field Service Technician to perform on-site servicing, installation, and repair of complex electromechanical equipment in the Los Angeles area.

You will diagnose failures, implement repairs to minimize downtime, and support customer operations with proactive service and training. Required are a strong background in electromechanical systems, troubleshooting, and PC/networking, with at least four years in field service.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with electromechanical equipment is essential.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electromechanical systems and understanding electronic principles.
• Working knowledge of computer systems, PCs, and networking is required.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
• Ability to use a laptop/tablet for administrative and diagnostic tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and perform equipment maintenance at customer sites.
• Diagnose failures in mechanical, hardware, software, and systems and implement repairs.
• Assist with on-site training of less experienced technicians.
• Communicate with technical support, management, and customers on technical matters.
• Travel as required to support business needs and cover for other field engineers.
• Adhere to safety policies and conduct duties professionally.
