Actalent in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced electromechanical products from concept through production. You will own product architecture, mechanical design execution, validation, and manufacturing readiness while collaborating with engineering, operations, supply chain, and customer-facing teams.

Qualificações

• Experience designing complex electromechanical products.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools and BOM/ECN management.
• Experience with design validation and production readiness.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end product development from concept through production release.
• Develop mechanical assemblies, components, and enclosures using 3D CAD tools.
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings, models and support docs for production.
• Participate in system architecture discussions across electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Drive design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve performance and reliability.
• Support validation activities including test planning, execution and analysis.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support prototype builds and testing to ensure design intent and performance.
• Assist with product launches and collaborate with production teams.
• Manage engineering BOMs, revisions, and engineering change processes in appropriate systems.
• Work with suppliers to review designs and improve manufacturability and quality.
• Partner with production to drive continuous improvement in design and manufacturing.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
