Job summary

Avtron Power Solutions, LLC. is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer in Cleveland, OH to lead mechanical design efforts for load banks and related products.

You will guide projects from concept through production, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. The role requires a strong background in electro-mechanical design, CAD/FEA proficiency, and collaboration with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters a plus).
• 10+ years in electro-mechanical design or electrical construction engineering.
• Experience with FEA and thermal analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with UL, CSA, NEC, ASME and related standards.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical components and systems using CAD and simulations.
• Lead project engineering from concept through production with specs and reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams integrating mechanical with electrical/software.
• Maintain design documentation, calculations, test plans and validation reports.
• Perform seismic, wind and vibration calculations per IBC and customer needs.
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement.
