The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA seeks an Electro-Optical Engineer for the Integrated Sensor Design and Analysis Department (ISDAD). You will lead optical system design, analysis and testing for national security space programs, from prototypes to Class A satellites, working on broadband VIS/IR and hyperspectral systems.

Bachelor’s in optics/physics/EE with 5+ years’ experience required; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory. On-site role with competitive pay, benefits, and relocation support.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering or equivalent STEM field.
• Five+ years of increasing professional experience in optical engineering.
• Experience with passive remote sensing electro-optical system performance evaluation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with government and contractor personnel.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI SSBI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilidades

• Design, model, and analyze passive electro-optical airborne/space-based remote sensing systems.
• Evaluate infrared sensor performance theoretically and experimentally.
• Inform customers of expected sensor performance using analyses.
• Design, assemble, align, and test complex electro-optical sensors.
• Perform stray light analysis of EO sensor systems.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in a concurrent engineering environment.
