Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer specializing in Electro-Optical and Systems Engineering to support customer programs. This role encompasses hardware, software, and testing aspects, working closely with various teams to ensure sound technical direction in space capabilities development. The position is based in Albuquerque, NM and requires 100% onsite work.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Aerospace Senior Project Engineer to assist in acquiring complex national capabilities.
  • Collaborate with technical experts on the acquisition, launch, test, and operations of advanced electro-optical payloads and spacecraft.
  • Analyze program concepts, contractor designs, and resolve anomalies.
  • Interact directly with government and mission partners on technical topics, progress, and mission assurance.
  • Participate in government oversight with partners and brief management on technical initiatives, status, and recommendations.
  • Provide technical leadership to integration teams supporting space superiority efforts.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or relevant field.
  • 12+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with electro-optical payloads or sensors, analysis, and development.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering and integration.
  • Willingness to travel domestically (~20%).
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Advanced STEM degrees.
  • Experience with mission assurance assessments of hardware programs.
  • Ability to support multiple technical domains concurrently.
  • Eligibility for DoD SAP programs.
