Lightmatter, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Electro-Optic Systems Architect to lead the design and development of photonics architecture for high-volume data center products.

You will ensure that Passage’s electrical-optical-electrical links meet customer requirements and engage with cross-disciplinary teams to model, test, and validate advanced photonics solutions. The role requires solid CMOS and silicon photonics expertise, experience with 40+ GHz interfaces, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s with relevant experience in electro-optic systems.
• Expertise in high-speed RF design and silicon photonics.
• Proficiency with Cadence photonics-analog tools, HFSS, and ADS.

Responsibilities

• Creative problem-solving for high-volume electro-optic architecture.
• Modeling electro-optic systems using Cadence, VPI Photonics, and Keysight ADS.
• Designing end-to-end electrical-optical-electrical links to meet customer requirements.
• Co-designing silicon photonic devices with engineering teams based on simulations.
• Validating models through high-speed RF experiments and data analysis.
• Collaborating with electronics and photonics engineers to specify and verify circuits.
