Job summary

Lightmatter is hiring an Electro-Optic Systems Architect to partner with the internal engineering team and deliver groundbreaking products. You will ensure Passage’s electrical-optical-electrical links are performant and meet customer requirements, modeling with Cadence photonics tools, and validating with high-speed RF experiments.

Qualifications

• PhD in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or a photonics-related field is required.
• Proficient in Cadence photonics/analog simulators (Virtuoso, Spectre, Verilog-A), Ansys HFSS, and Keysight ADS.
• Highly proficient in coding simulations in Python or Matlab.
• Strong RF/mm-wave analog circuit design experience.
• Experience with corner and Monte Carlo analyses.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Model electro-optic systems with Cadence photonics-analog simulators and related tools.
• Co-design analog and photonic devices with engineering teams based on end-to-end simulations.
• Validate models by designing high-speed RF experiments and analyzing data.
• Write, review, and validate architectural specifications.
