Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical/Mechatronics.
• 8+ years in electro-mechanical engineering with validation experience.
• Proven ability to author/execute mechanical validation plans with acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on in fixture design, instrumentation, calibration, and measurement-uncertainty assessment.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and data analysis.
• Experience with I/O and data acquisition, sensors, and motion control.
• Familiarity with GD&T and metrology equipment; able to interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience applying DOE, Weibull, and SPC in test design and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Define mechanical verification methodologies with researchers and design teams.
• Perform core verification for thermal, vibration, and mechanical stress tests.
• Define and track detailed test plans for modules and systems.
• Design and drive scalable test infrastructure and fixtures.
• Track coverage metrics, bugs, and resolutions; report results.
• Own execution and reporting of system-level verification work.
• Drive FMEA, tolerance analysis, GR&R, and related activities with cross-functional teams.
• Support bring-up and debugging of systems; communicate results clearly.
• Analyze large datasets to summarize test plans and results.
• Manage external vendors for fixtures, data collection, and vendor reports.
