ProAmpac in Elgin, IL is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist for first shift. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and keep lines running at peak performance.

The role requires 10+ years in industrial maintenance, proficiency with PLCs, drives, and electrical schematics, and comfort with various test equipment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial maintenance with hands-on troubleshooting and repairs.
• Proficiency with PLCs, drives, and electrical schematics.
• Comfort with test equipment (multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and mastery of hand/power tools.
• Solid grounding in mechanical repair and maintenance fundamentals.
• Clear English communication skills, spoken and written.

Responsabilités

• Own preventive maintenance across production and facility assets; record every task accurately.
• Partner with the Maintenance Lead and Maintenance Manager to prioritize work and quickly resolve issues.
• Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Improve machine output and elevate the quality of PM routines.
• Disassemble/rebuild motors, gearboxes, clutches, bearings, and associated electrical assemblies.
• Support facility systems: pumps, chillers, compressors, and main power; perform light carpentry, painting, and drywall when needed.
• Fabricate or design parts to keep lines running and improve reliability.
• Perform PLC and low‑voltage control changes; run diagnostics to validate performance.
• Install and service high‑ and low‑voltage circuits on production lines and building systems.
• Contribute to a safe, zero‑harm environment by following all procedures and reporting any injuries, incidents, or hazards immediately.
