Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Maintenance Technician III in Lexington, NC for the 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.). This electro‑mechanical role supports manufacturing operations, adjusts and repairs equipment, and tracks usage of replacement parts.

The candidate will diagnose complex problems, perform detailed setup, repair machine components, and maintain electrical and pneumatic systems. Qualifications include an associates degree or equivalent experience, 3–7 years of maintenance

Qualifications

Associates degree in related field, or equivalent related experience.
3‑7 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lock‑Out, Tag‑Out procedures.
Commitment to safety policies/procedures and quality.
Willingness to standby, after hours and overtime as required.
Proficient in Word and Excel.
Willingness to attend training, including out of state.
Ability to train Level I/II Technicians.
Intermediate fabrication knowledge (welding, basic machining).
Ability to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair complex electro‑mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
Repair and maintain mechanical machine components to keep equipment in top condition.
Troubleshoot electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, and PLCs.
Complete projects adding electrical circuits, new equipment, and relocate machines.
Maintain and repair pneumatic systems and components.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks following instructions.
Enter all work in computer‑based maintenance program.
Monitor spare parts usage and place orders as needed.
Train Level I and II technicians on complex tasks.
