Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Kentucky seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation on rotating 12-hour shifts, with travel to other Ritchie County locations as needed. You will diagnose and repair electro-mechanical equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field is desired.
• Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
• Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
• Ability to assist in Training Level I Technicians
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
• Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
• Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
• Flexible and willing to work overtime as required

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment.
• Set up equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Repair mechanical components to keep equipment in top condition.
• Perform mechanical preventative maintenance tasks.
• Understand electrical principles and safety.
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits and sensors.
• Troubleshoot PLC I/O and repair issues.
• Add electrical circuits and controls; relocate machines.
• Maintain pneumatic systems and cylinders.
• Enter all work in maintenance program.
• Monitor spare parts usage and raise orders.
• Adjust equipment from SPC data with QA.
• Train Level I technicians.
• Respond to maintenance calls and perform simple repairs.
• Learn and support recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Read blueprints and printed materials.
