Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician III to apply their mechanical and electrical assembly expertise to build, modify, and test standard and custom products, sub-assemblies, and systems.

Work from schematics and documentation to transform designs into finished solutions with the highest quality standards. The role requires 5+ years of related assembly experience, on-site work in Jefferson Hills, PA, and willingness to train and mentor others while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related mechanical, electro-mechanical, or systems assembly experience.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to safely lift items over 30 lbs. with assistance.
• Team lifting or mechanical assistance required for items weighing more than 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and systems.
• Install and route electrical wiring, tubing, and plumbing components within system frameworks.
• Mount and integrate mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform helium leak detection and testing.
• Support quality control, production scheduling, and daily department activities as needed.
• Train and mentor technicians on assembly methods, techniques, and best practices.
• Interact with customers and perform on-site service work when required.
• Safely operate hand tools, measuring equipment, and portable power tools.
• Perform basic manual machining operations as needed.
• Complete work in a logical, organized, and efficient manner while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
