Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking an Electro‑Mechanical Assembly Technician III to build, modify, and test standard and custom products, sub‑assemblies, and systems from schematics and instructions.

You will work from technical docs to transform designs into finished solutions with a focus on quality and efficiency. The role involves testing, leak detection, and mentoring junior staff, with on-site work at our Jefferson Hills, PA location.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of related mechanical, electro‑mechanical, or systems assembly experience.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted and more with assistance.
• Team lifting or mechanical assistance required for items over 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test complex mechanical and electro‑mechanical assemblies and systems.
• Install and route electrical wiring, tubing, and plumbing components within system frameworks.
• Mount and integrate mechanical and electrical sub‑assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform helium leak detection and testing.
• Support quality control, production scheduling, and daily department activities.
• Train and mentor technicians on assembly methods and best practices.
• Interact with customers and perform on-site service work when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
