Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler for a client in Lockport, IL. The role involves building subassemblies, box builds, cables, and general electro-mechanical assemblies, with hands-on soldering and inspection.

Requires 3+ years in related assembly, ability to read instructions and diagrams, and strong attention to detail. Fine-pitch SMT soldering under magnification is a plus; 1st shift hours are 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Contract-to-hire with potential direct hire after 3–4 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or technical diploma plus 3+ years of assembly experience.
• Ability to read work instructions, schematics, BOMs, diagrams, and ECOs.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Fine-pitch SMT soldering and rework under magnification is a plus.
• Basic PC skills (Word/Excel).
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced electro‑mechanical assembly.
• Assemble wires, cables and harnesses.
• Solder and rework fine-pitch SMT components under magnification.
• Inspect chassis, mechanical assemblies, cables and harnesses for defects.
• Prepare components by cutting and stripping wire and making connections.
• Complete other production tasks as needed.

Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler for our client in Lockport, IL.

Candidates with fine-pitch SMT soldering or rework experience under magnification are especially encouraged to apply.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with potential for direct hire after 3–4 months based on performance and attendance.

Pay: $18–$22/hour, based on experience
Hours: 1st shift: 7 a.m.– 3:30 p.m.

• Fine‑pitch SMT soldering and rework skills under magnification are a plus.
• Basic PC skills, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and regularly lift up to 40 pounds.
• Team‑oriented, organized, and willing to work occasional overtime.
