Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Senior Electrician/Maintenance Technician to operate, maintain, repair, and install electrical systems at a facility. You will work on secondary components of electrical distribution and related equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in response to customer needs.

The role involves reading blueprints, estimating materials and costs, and supporting maintenance projects with a focus on reliability and timely execution.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Working knowledge of local, state and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Journeyman Electrical License.
• Experience reading blueprints, specifications, or models to learn or plan work layouts.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor.

Responsibilities

• Updates work statuses and documents tasks completed in the CMMS utilizing a mobile device.
• Reads blueprints and diagrams, estimates time and material costs, and requests supplies.
• Constructs, installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems and related facilities.
• Troubleshoots electrical systems and locates cables for various contractors.
• Responds to emergency problems and performs preventive maintenance.
