Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a Senior Electrician/Maintenance Technician to operate, maintain, repair and install electrical components across a school facility. You will read blueprints, estimate material needs, and support customer needs while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires a journeyman electrical license, 5 years of institutional maintenance experience, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Full-time schedule with day shifts and potential weekend hours; benefits included.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting.
• Working knowledge of local, state and the NEC.
• Journeyman Electrical License.
• Experience reading blueprints, specifications or models to plan work.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and perform strenuous labor.

Responsibilities

• Updates work statuses and documents tasks completed in the CMMS.
• Reads blueprints and diagrams, estimates materials and costs for installations.
• Constructs, installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems and related facilities.
• Pends and installs EMT, rigid and conduit; troubleshoots electrical systems.
• Responds to emergencies and maintains logs, rounds, tests, and inspections.
• Assists with manpower/material planning and project deadlines.
