Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking an Electrician Master of Record in Owatonna to perform skilled electrical work, oversee installations and maintenance, and coordinate with building maintenance teams. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, preparing plans and cost estimates, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Face long daytime shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with opportunities to lead and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Master electrical license issued by Minnesota State Board of Electricity.
• Valid Minnesota Class D Driver’s License.
• Experience with construction plans, blueprints and electrical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled electrical installation, maintenance and repair per codes and plans.
• Direct and inspect work of other maintenance personnel and contractor staff.
• Prepare cost estimates and review plans for electrical projects.
