Job summary

Mall of America in Bloomington, MN seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, repair and upgrade electrical systems and lighting across the property. You’ll work with power panels, switch gear, motors, and the Building Management System (BMS) to support daily operations and special events.

Responsibilities include safety-first work, following LOTO procedures, and performing 3rd shift tasks when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalentrequired.
• 2-year trade/technical program in electrical maintenance preferred.
• Journeyman license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, and repair MOA electrical equipment including lighting, service panels, motors, controls, switch gear, distribution systems, outlets and displays.
• Assist in annual switch gear maintenance on 3rd shift for 2–4 weeks as assigned.
• Set up and monitor electrical needs for promotional events and marketing projects.
• Utilize Building Management System (BMS) for Engineering needs.
• Perform basic electrical work in internal tenant spaces and mall areas.
• Install and replace electrical wiring, lighting, ballasts and conduits.
• Adhere to safety protocols and Lockout-Tagout procedures.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Assist other departments as needed.
