Job summary

Shaw Industries in Calhoun, GA is seeking an Electrician Advance IV for the day shift (7 am–7 pm). The role installs and repairs electrical equipment, troubleshoots PLCs, inverters, and drives, and provides training to junior technicians.

You will interpret schematics, execute START training, and ensure safe, compliant operations. Strong knowledge of NEC, RSLogix/RSLinks, PID control and related software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must interpret electrical and mechanical situations and identify improvements.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Experience using test equipment like DMMs and megger meters.
• Design, install, repair, replace and maintain motors, drives and PLCs.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code and safety practices.
• Familiar with PID control and related systems.
• Proficient with RSLogix, RSLinks and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete START Technician-Electrician IV training or have verifiable experience.
• Receive assignments and respond to trouble calls from other departments.
• Troubleshoot relay logic and interpret schematics.
• Document complex projects with drawings and records.
• Ensure projects are completed safely and on time.
• Design, program and troubleshoot simple PLC systems.
• Train and guide technicians at other levels.
• Stay current with new technology, equipment and regulations.
• Maintain electrical operations for off-shift production systems.
