Gregory Electric seeks a Utility Safety Superintendent to lead field safety on electrical utility projects. You will oversee inspections, coaching, training, and incident investigations, ensuring compliance with OSHA and client requirements.

The role is field-based with a focus on hazard reduction and corrective actions across overhead and underground work. The ideal candidate has five+ years in utility construction safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to exercise stop-work

Qualifications

• Five+ years in electrical utility construction, safety, or field supervision.
• Knowledge of overhead/underground utility activities and safety practices.
• Ability to identify hazards and coach staff to safe decisions.
• Experience leading inspections, investigations, and training programs.
• Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment checks.

Responsabilités

• Provide field safety oversight with inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Coach crews and stop unsafe conditions in collaboration with leadership.
• Exercise stop-work authority for imminent danger or serious risk.
• Participate in pre-job planning, safety meetings, and high-risk reviews.
• Lead investigations and develop corrective actions for incidents.
• Deliver electrical, work-zone, excavation, fall-protection, and PPE training.
• Verify compliance with policies, OSHA standards, and client rules.
• Evaluate subcontractor safety and address deficiencies with project leaders.
• Maintain records and close deficiencies through documented actions.
• Identify trends, report findings to Utility Ops leadership and Safety Director.
• Support safety program improvements and flag concerns to operations.
