Job summary

Vertiv (ERS / HVM) seeks a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform high‑voltage acceptance, commissioning and maintenance testing up to 500kV. You will lead multi‑discipline teams on regional/national projects and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications include NETA III/IV, 7+ years HV testing, and proficiency with Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF. Travel up to 75% is required and a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Proficiency with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Interpret results and write comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor and train Level I/II technicians in the field.
• Serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.
