Job summary

M.c.-Dean,-Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Technician to lead and execute electrical testing on duty sites and complex projects. You will develop testing programs, troubleshoot SCADA and protection systems, and mentor junior staff in adherence to NETA standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with operations, managing CMMS-driven maintenance, performing relay, transformer, and switchgear tests, and delivering detailed test reports for clients. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• NETA / NICET certification (preferred) or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical testing.
• Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA electrical safety standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment.
• Experience with test equipment such as Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, and Fluke meters.
• Knowledge of insulation resistance, power factor, contact resistance, and high-potential (Hi-Pot) testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical testing program for duty site and serve as SME over the divisions Operation and Maintenance program.
• Manage or train operations staff to monitor and control systems for efficiency.
• Assist developing SOPs and training operators to monitor and control complex systems.
• Assist in CMMS-driven maintenance scheduling, dispatch, tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate with the Program Manager to optimize monitoring systems and meet energy goals.
• Provide troubleshooting and oversee electrical testing activities.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist in scheduling.
