Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an Experienced Electrical Test Engineer to contribute to the design, development and testing of electrical systems for U.S. Navy submarines.

The role is located at Groton, CT, with eligibility for flexible/ hybrid work arrangements depending on program and security requirements. Ideal candidates will have an AS in electrical engineering or equivalent, 10+ years in submarine shipbuilding or service, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• AS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent engineering background.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance.
• 10+ years of submarine shipbuilding or service experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review changes to electrical system diagrams including system interfaces.
• Evaluate electrical cableways design and routing drawings.
• Troubleshoot issues identified by construction team.
• Write procedures to test and maintain electrical systems.
• Interface with internal customers to ensure the system is installed to plan.
• Work with operations to support installation and test.
• Emphasis on mentoring junior personnel.
