Job summary

Rehlko in Kohler, Wisconsin seeks a Senior Electrical Test Engineer - Switchgear to lead FAT programs and ensure safety, quality, and performance of electrical switchgear assemblies. The role collaborates with engineering, production, and customers to validate conformity to design specs and industry standards.

The position is onsite in Kohler, WI, with responsibilities spanning test plan development, electrical/functional testing, and defect resolution to deliver reliable power distribution

Qualifications

• The role leads FAT for low/medium-voltage switchgear and ensures design spec conformance.
• Experience validating tests against UL, ANSI/IEEE, IEC standards is preferred.
• Ability to translate drawings and schematics into test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct FAT on switchgear assemblies prior to shipment.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and checklists from drawings.
• Perform electrical and functional testing including continuity.
• Identify and document defects; drive corrective actions with teams.
• Review schematics, BOMs, and layout drawings for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with UL, IBC, ANSI, IEEE, IEC and related standards.

This position is responsible for leading rigorous factory acceptance testing (FAT) processes, validating that all low and medium-voltage assemblies meet design specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities

• * Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) on low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies prior to shipment.
• * Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and checklists based on engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• * Perform electrical and functional testing, including continuity, control circuit verification.
• * Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects or non-conformances; work with engineering and production teams to implement corrective actions.
• * Review schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and layout drawings to verify accuracy and completeness.
• * Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as UL, IBC, ANSI, IEEE, IEC, and
