This position is responsible for leading rigorous factory acceptance testing (FAT) processes, validating that all low and medium-voltage assemblies meet design specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.The **Senior Electrical Test Engineer – Switchgear** will be combining deep technical expertise with hands-on testing and problem-solving skills, the **Senior Electrical Test Engineer – Switchgear** partners closely with engineering, production, and customers to deliver reliable, compliant, and high-performing power distribution solutions.**Work Mode:** onsite Monday-Friday**Location:** 200 Twin Oaks Road Kohler WI 53044*Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.***Key Responsibilities:*** Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) on low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies prior to shipment.* Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and checklists based on engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.* Perform electrical and functional testing, including continuity, control circuit verification.* Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects or non-conformances; work with engineering and production teams to implement corrective actions.* Review schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and layout drawings to verify accuracy and completeness.* Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as UL, IBC, ANSI, IEEE, IEC, and NETA.* Prepare detailed test reports, inspection records, and quality documentation for internal use and customer review.* Support production team by addressing technical questions during the build process.* Support customer witness testing and address technical questions during FAT.* Calibrate and maintain test equipment and ensure proper usage.* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.* Work on special projects as dictated by the needs of the department.**Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred* 4+ years of experience in electrical testing in power systems, or switchgear manufacturing environments.* Minimum of 4 years of electrical troubleshooting and analytical skills.* Minimum of 4 years of experience with being able to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.* Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers, relay test sets, and motor/generator test equipment.* Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution systems, and protection schemes.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.**Work Mode:** onsite Monday-Friday**Location:** 200 Twin Oaks Road Kohler WI 53044*Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.*The Salary range for this position is $89,800.00-$114,100.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.**About Us**Rehlko proudly offers a rich history steeped in creativity and commitment to our associates and communities, along with competitive benefits and compensation.
