Job summary

McLeod Health is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to maintain commercial/industrial electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and manage contractors. The role requires strong documentation, safety compliance, and the ability to work independently.

You will monitor equipment, review work orders, and perform repairs across generators, motors, switches, lights, and distribution equipment in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience maintaining commercial/industrial electrical/electronic systems.
• In lieu of 10 years of experience, 6 years electrical/electronic systems experience in a hospital or SC State Electrical Master card.
• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid SC driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building components such as electrical systems, lights, motors, switches, generators, elevators, and work order systems.
• Log equipment performance readings and review work orders daily by priority.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of instrumentation.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and projects; provide technical support to operators and technicians.
• Respond to emergencies and follow safety protocols.
