Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer within the System Integration and Analysis Team to design, integrate, and verify electrical and avionics subsystems across the lunar lander and payloads.

You will define electrical interfaces and C&DH architectures, ensure compliance with mission and safety requirements, and collaborate across Mechanical, Thermal, Propulsion, Avionics, Software, and other teams to deliver robust spaceflight systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in spacecraft electrical systems engineering.
  • Experience with command & data handling subsystems, avionics, or electrical power subsystems.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft electrical interfaces and standards.
  • Familiarity with wire harness design and connectivity solutions for space applications.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident (or eligible status) for export-controlled work.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and interfaces for the spacecraft and its payloads.
  • Develop and implement command and data handling (C&DH) architectures for spacecraft subsystems and payloads.
  • Define and document electrical interfaces between the spacecraft bus and payloads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems integration with other subsystems.
  • Develop electrical test plans and procedures to verify system performance.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks related to electrical systems.
  • Create and analyze budgets to ensure adequate electrical power, data, and channels for mission operations.
