Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer for the Lunar Permanence team on the lunar lander program. You will define interfaces, develop C&DH architectures, and ensure electrical systems meet safety-critical requirements.

Effective communication and teamwork are essential. Join a team of specialists to advance space exploration, focusing on electrical designs across spacecraft, payloads, and subsystems, with collaboration across Mechanical, Thermal, and Avionics disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in spacecraft electrical systems engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following: command & data handling subsystems, avionics, or electrical power subsystems.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft electrical interfaces and standards.
  • Familiarity with wire harness design and connectivity solutions for space applications.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and interfaces for the spacecraft and its payloads.
  • Develop and implement command and data handling (C&DH) architectures for spacecraft subsystems and payloads.
  • Define and document electrical interfaces between the spacecraft bus and payloads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems integration with Mechanical, Thermal, Fluid, Propulsion, Avionics, Communications, and Software Systems.
  • Develop electrical test plans and procedures to verify system performance.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks related to electrical systems.
  • Create and analyze budgets to ensure adequate electrical power, data, and channels for mission operations.
