Job summary

Moss Construction Management seeks a senior Electrical Superintendent to lead field execution on multi-state, utility-scale solar/BESS projects. You will oversee safety, quality, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with subcontracts and internal teams.

You will mentor direct reports, manage procurement and engineering schedules, and participate in design reviews and pre-construction site visits. Travel will be extensive to support multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 5 years’ experience as the General Superintendent on utility scale solar/bess projects required.
• Journeyman or masters license (including NASCLA or other way to demonstrate proficiency in electrical best practices) required or obtainable within 6 months after hire.
• STS-C Certification at a minimum, or ability to obtain within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple utility scale solar/bess projects.
• Owner interface and resource planning at program level.
• Support superintendents in owner discussions.
• Work with Project Management team for subcontracts.
• Support and mentor direct reports as well as manage performance reviews.
• Create, distribute, and enforce best practices for Electrical Field Operations.
• Project completion and closeout coordination.
• Creation and monitoring of safety initiatives.
• Help manage procurement and engineering schedule.
• Support Electrical Superintendents in creation of project schedules.
• Assist with scheduling shared resources.
• Assist managing subcontracted resources across portfolio.
• Coordinate with other departments for resource expectations (QC, commissioning, substation, etc.).
• Budget and schedule reporting.
• Supports Project Executive in project change discussions.
• Front end/design involvement.
• Oversees internal design review and coordination.
• Coordinate with Pre-Construction for site visits.
• Estimate upcoming projects.
• Interviewing and onboarding of new salaried personnel.

Education

Bachelor's in construction management, engineering or related field

5 years’ experience as the General Superintendent on utility scale solar/bess projects
