Job summary

Walker Engineering seeks an Electrical Senior Superintendent to lead large-scale commercial electrical projects from site level, supervising crews, enforcing OSHA safety standards, and coordinating with inspectors, architects and engineers.

You will bring 10+ years of electrical/industrial supervision, strong leadership and scheduling skills, and the ability to read drawings and specifications. Travel may be required to support project locations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Electrical or Industrial Superintendent experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organization, time management, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Strong math and accounting skills.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety program implementation and OSHA compliance for Walker personnel, subs and visitors.
• Coordinate and participate in OSHA inspections, investigations, and claims.
• Provide leadership and direction to Superintendents and Foremen; ensure duties are completed efficiently.
• Communicate work plans and potential issues with company personnel and subcontractors.
• Assist in resolving construction problems (productivity, interfaces, material shortages).
• Maintain relationships with inspectors, architects, engineers, subcontractors and key project personnel.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.
• Monitor activities to ensure on-schedule and within-budget construction.
• Oversee change quotations and ensure proper execution on as-built plans.
