Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a General Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical construction on large-scale projects. You will oversee safety, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control while guiding foremen, journeymen, and apprentices to successful project delivery.

The role requires deep NEC knowledge, strong leadership, and effective collaboration with project teams, engineers, and clients. Willingness to travel and extend hours as project demands.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of electrical construction experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
  • Journeyman Electrician License or Master Electrician License preferred.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and grounding.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all electrical construction activities with manpower, materials, and equipment.

  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents for accurate execution.

  • Troubleshoot issues and provide technical guidance to the field team.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and advise on constructability and scheduling.

Job Overview

The General Electrical Superintendent will oversee and manage all electrical construction activities on large-scale projects, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality.

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all electrical construction activities, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Supervise and mentor electrical foremen, journeymen, and apprentices, fostering a productive and safe work environment.

  • Manage project budgets, tracking costs, and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all electrical installations meet industry standards and project specifications.
  • Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and other necessary documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical guidance to the field team.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide input on constructability and scheduling.
Job Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
  • Journeyman Electrician License or Master Electrician License preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant local electrical codes.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and grounding.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours as required by project demands.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
