Job summary

Primoris Energy Services seeks an experienced supervisor to oversee electrical construction crews, ensuring project safety, efficiency, and adherence to specifications. The role involves direct supervision, technical guidance, and strict compliance with codes and company standards.

Responsibilities include planning work from blueprints, mentoring staff, reporting progress, and coordinating with managers and other trades to keep projects on schedule and within quality expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Possession of a valid Journeyman Electrician license/certification in the relevant jurisdiction (APEX area preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, controls, and equipment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong commitment to safety and a working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and coordinate the activities of electrical construction workers.
• Plan and lay out work, interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce safety protocols, and identify and mitigate potential hazards on site.
• Train and mentor crew members, fostering a skilled and productive workforce.
• Monitor project progress, report on status, and identify potential delays or issues.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets design specifications and quality standards.
• Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and materials on site.
• Complete daily reports, time sheets, and other necessary documentation accurately and on time.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment as needed.
