Job summary

Group CBS, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Senior Field Service Specialist to perform complex electrical testing, maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs at customer facilities. The role includes troubleshooting, training, establishing LOTO, and interacting with customers.

You will lead transformer, cable, and circuit breaker testing, coordinate on-site field operations, and participate in safety meetings. Flexibility for overtime and travel is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s or associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or military experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in electrical substation testing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly, and commissioning is required.
• Eight+ years of relevant experience and ability to obtain NETA Level III or IV certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment used in power transmission, distribution, and generation at customer facilities.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and write diagrams to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean all components in a substation.
• Lead transformer, cable, circuit breaker testing including insulation resistance, power factor, and leakage testing.
• Support installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Plan and conduct safety meetings and training; assist in field project planning and cost management.
