Job summary

Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced electrical technician to provide service and repair for customer units. You will coordinate with utilities and local officials, complete service documentation, and manage parts orders for daily operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years of electrical experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• State Electrical License preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability by company.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical service and/or repair to customer units as needed.
• Coordinate with utility service providers and local code officials to meet guidelines.
• Complete all required documentation on services and collect fees to office administration.
• Prepare and order parts for appointments; ensure readiness for service day.
• Submit purchase orders to dispatch or designated purchasing team.
• Reschedule customer appointments if calls are incomplete.
• Transport tools and materials; keep truck clean and inventoried.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet job objectives.
• Inform a manager if customer lacks electrical services before leaving the call.
• Explain benefits of Club Memberships.
• Monitor metrics like average invoice total, callback ratios, and labor margins.
• Train, coach and mentor technicians and apprentices.
• Investigate safety issues and support management decisions.
