Job summary

Work With Your Handz in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Electrician to test, inspect, troubleshoot, and install electrical components for residential and some commercial clients. You will guide customers, present service options, and ensure work meets local codes and safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read wiring diagrams. We offer a company vehicle, comprehensive health coverage, a 401K plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Service Technician.
• Knowledgeable of current electrical codes.
• Able to use an iPad and cell phone.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must obtain a valid state driver’s license and maintain a reasonable driving record.
• Willing and able to complete pre-employment criminal and financial background.

Responsibilities

• Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and properly repair and install electrical components, wiring, and fixtures.
• Know local electrical codes and apply them to ensure code compliance.
• Utilize customer service training to educate and assist customers, presenting service options and recommending upgrades or repairs to drive sales.
• Read and trace simple wiring diagrams.
• Install electrical hardware such as junction boxes and circuit breakers.
• Maintain safety compliance with company and federal rules and wear required safety gear.
• Communicate with inspectors, suppliers, co-workers, and customers to ensure correct project work.
• Complete paperwork accurately and promptly, meeting productivity and code compliance goals.
• Be a self-starter and pursue continuing education.
