Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in public relations and residential and commercial advisory work in the electrical power service field; at least one year equivalent to a City of Seattle Electrical Service Representative.
• Two years of college coursework in electrical science, business administration, or related field may substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to learn and apply regulations for electrical service installations.

Responsibilities

• Initiate electrical service installation orders and contract applications; calculate costs and utilization rates.
• Review plans to ensure compliance with power availability and code requirements; prepare written responses for customers.
• Interpret codes and requirements; advise on service size, equipment configuration, and route of service.
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure safety and compliance; maintain project notes and follow up before connection.
• Respond to inquiries and coordinate with staff to resolve electric service issues and outages.
• Coordinate staff and resources to deliver timely service; communicate project status to customers.
