Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in Irving, TX seeks an experienced Electrical Reliability Lead to drive the corporate program, enhancing asset availability and reducing unplanned downtime across cement operations. You will guide maintenance teams, develop standards, and lead critical investigations while deploying advanced predictive practices.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical preferred), 10+ years in industrial electrical maintenance, and strong knowledge of NEC/ NFPA/ISA codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ISA, and other electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
• Experience with substations, power distribution systems, high-voltage equipment, motors, drives, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and industrial control systems.
• Expertise in power system analysis including relay coordination, load flow studies, harmonics mitigation, and power quality analysis.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety, high-voltage switching, arc flash protection, risk mitigation, and preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and the ability to travel across North America in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Corporate Electrical Reliability Program to improve asset availability, reduce unplanned downtime, and optimize lifecycle costs across cement operations.
• Provide electrical maintenance expertise, guidance, and support to plant leadership, engineering teams, and operational personnel.
• Support facilities in implementing Heidelberg Materials maintenance and reliability programs, standards, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain corporate standards for electrical asset management, power system reliability, predictive technologies, condition-based maintenance, and spare parts management.
• Lead root cause investigations for significant electrical failures and drive standardized corrective actions across operations.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support for complex electrical system issues to minimize operational disruptions.
• Assist plants with critical spare parts strategy, inventory management, equipment repairs, and major equipment replacements through onsite and remote support.
• Develop and deliver technical and maintenance training programs to strengthen workforce capability and performance.
• Manage major electrical projects while identifying and implementing emerging technologies, digital solutions, and maintenance innovations that support business objectives.
