Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Staff Quality Engineer to provide senior technical leadership for electrical quality across products. You will guide APQP, DFMEA/PFMEA alignment, control plans, validation and production readiness from design through ramp and field performance.

You will collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Test and Supplier Quality to identify risks, lead complex investigations, validate processes, and drive systemic improvements while mentoring other engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field is required.
• 8+ years of experience in Quality/Electrical/Manufacturing engineering.
• Strong background in electrical/electronic systems and related components.
• Ability to lead complex investigations from root cause through corrective action and verification.
• Knowledge of APQP, DFMEA/PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, DOE, MSA/GR&R, SPC and 8D.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across electrical design, development, manufacturing, supplier quality and field activities.
• Lead quality planning and deliverables for new product introductions and production transfers (APQP, PFMEA, control plans, validation).
• Identify and mitigate risks early in product lifecycle and drive systemic improvements.
• Lead complex electrical failure investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Mentor junior Quality Engineers and communicate risks and actions to leadership.
