Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Purchasing Agent to drive sourcing and procurement of electrical materials and equipment for data center and mission-critical projects. You will build strong vendor relationships, place orders, and ensure cost-effective, on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards.

Key duties include selecting suppliers, negotiating terms, managing inventory, and tracking purchases from order to receipt, with close collaboration with project managers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 10 years purchasing experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or similar procurement role in electrical/construction.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Vendor Selection: identify suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish relationships.
• Purchasing: place orders for electrical materials and equipment timely to meet project needs.
• Inventory Management: track usage, maintain records, replenish stock as needed.
• Cost Control: monitor pricing trends, negotiate favorable terms, implement savings.
• Quality Assurance: ensure materials meet required standards and specs.
• Documentation: maintain records of POs, invoices, and vendor contracts.
• Communication: coordinate with project managers, engineers, and team members.
