Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Senior Engineer II, Electrical Projects to oversee electrical systems design for onshore wind, solar, and storage projects from development to handover to operations. The role emphasizes leadership, grid code compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

The position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) with 8+ years of post-undergraduate experience and strong project leadership across design and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering required or higher.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience coordinating multiple tasks and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Design balance of plant packages from development to IFC.
• Provide engineering support during pre-construction, construction, and turnover to operations.
• Ensure grid code compliance and interconnection requirements.
• Specify and evaluate major electrical BOP equipment.
• Conduct power system modeling and studies.
• Coordinate engineering topics with construction and 3rd party consultants.
• Support NERC compliance documents and studies.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental protections in designs.
• Contribute to development of electrical engineering standards and processes.
