Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Senior Engineer II, Electrical Projects to oversee electrical systems design for onshore wind, solar and storage from development to operations handover. The role is office-based with some travel to other RWE offices and field locations.

The candidate should hold a BS in Electrical Engineering and have 8+ years of post-undergraduate electrical experience, with preferred renewables design exposure and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years of post-Undergraduate electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with wind, solar, and energy storage projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design balance of plant packages from development to IFC.
• Provide engineering support during pre-construction, construction and turnover to Operations.
• Ensure grid code compliance and interconnection requirements.
• Specify and evaluate major balance of plant electrical equipment.
• Perform power system modeling and studies.
• Coordinate project engineering topics during construction.
• Manage third-party engineering consultants.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and SMEs during the project lifecycle.
• Support NERC compliance documents and studies.
• Incorporate health, safety and environmental protections into designs and standards.
• Develop electrical engineering standards and processes.
