RWE Americas, LLC, a U.S.-based energy company, seeks a Sr Engineer I, Electrical Projects to oversee electrical systems design for onshore wind, solar and storage projects in development. The role is office-based with travel to other offices and field locations.

Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of experience, with strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. The position offers an exempt, full-time framework with a salary range of $140,000–$160,000 in the

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of post-undergraduate electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in transmission/substation/collection and distribution design and power system studies.

Responsibilities

• Design balance of plant packages during development.
• Provide engineering support through pre-construction to turnover.
• Ensure grid code compliance and interconnection requirements.
• Specify and evaluate major electrical equipment.
• Perform power system modeling and studies.
• Coordinate with construction and project stakeholders.
• Manage 3rd party engineering consultants.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards in designs.
