Job summary

The Weitz Company, through its EPI Power, LLC subsidiary, is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead subcontractors on data center projects. You will ensure safety, coordinate with project managers on timelines and budgets, and drive look-ahead scheduling and documentation with a focus on quality and collaboration.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in project supervision, an electrical background, and proven leadership.

• 8+ years of Project Superintendent experience required.
• Experience on data center projects required.
• Electrical background required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary leader of subcontractors and field forces on a job site.
• Maintain project safety in accordance with the Company’s Safety Policy.
• Work with Project Manager(s) to manage project schedule and budget.
• Prepare two-week look ahead schedules.
• Update project schedules using scheduling software.
• Assist with buyout and selection of subcontractors.
• Coordinate work of subcontractors’ field forces.
• Communicate with owners, designers, and engineers.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
• Adhere to company policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provide opportunities to help the team develop and grow.
• Foster positive relationships on the jobsite.

This role requires the ability to work 6 days per week, Monday – Saturday.

What You’ll Do:

• Act as the primary leader of subcontractors and field forces on a job site
• Maintain project safety in accordance with the Company’s Safety Policy
• Work alongside the Project Manager(s) to manage the project schedule and budget
• Prepare two-week look ahead schedules
• Update project schedules utilizing computerized scheduling software
• Assist with the buyout and selection of subcontractors
• Coordinate the work of the subcontractors’ field forces\
• Communicate effectively with owners, designers, and engineers
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed, accurate, and timely
• Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures
• Provide opportunities to help the team develop, learn, and grow
• Foster positive relationships on the jobsite

What We're Looking For:

Experience:

• 8+ years of Project Superintendent experience required
• Experience working on data center projects required
• Electrical background required

Skills:

• Ability to read/interpret construction documents
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Excellent project organizational skills Impressive leadership skills with the desire to teach, mentor, and develop a team
• Business acumen and relationship building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Technology:

• Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hire

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to be a traveler/relocate as needed based on future project needs
