Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial and industrial electrical projects in Santa Teresa, NM. You will manage a 50+ person team, ensure safe installation and timely completion, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires completion of an electrical apprenticeship, strong leadership, and excellent communication. You will report to the Operations Manager and work on-site with diverse crews and clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program.
• Four+ years of field supervision/management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with technology/computers.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and oversee multiple projects, including on-site supervision of field supervisors and crew members.
• Lay out project work and schedule materials, tools, and equipment to meet scope and budgets.
• Manage construction projects, trade contractors, and field personnel to meet schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Review project documents, plans, and specs; direct construction activities and coordinate field installations.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel as directed.
• Collaborate with HR, Estimating, Accounting, Finance, and other staff for project support.
• Interact with owners, architects, engineers, trade contractors, and vendors on project activities.
