The role sits in the Department of Administration in Las Vegas, overseeing scopes, budgets, contracts, bids, and schedule adherence while ensuring code compliance and high-quality public facilities.

The candidate will provide electrical design services for in-house projects and perform peer reviews of contracted design

Qualifications

• Licensure as an electrical engineer is required at time of appointment.
• Three years of professional electrical engineering experience on major construction projects and capital programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of capital improvement and construction projects from planning through completion.
• Review consultant-prepared electrical plans, specs, costs, and contract documents for code compliance.
• Provide limited electrical design services for in-house projects when needed.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and ensure procurement and contracting compliance.
